Wisdom in Practice
With Shari Friedrichsen
September 18 - 20, 2026
In uncertain times, the teachings of yoga remind us that clarity, strength, and compassion are not luxuries. They are necessities. To act wisely in the world, we must cultivate a body that is steady and strong, a heart that is steadfast and resilient, and a mind that is clear and discerning.
This retreat weaves together teachings from the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutra, and the Devi Mahatmyam, drawing on the full breadth of the tradition to explore what it means to live with wisdom, steadiness, and purpose. Through guided practice, contemplation, and discussion, we will examine how inner clarity becomes the ground for meaningful action, and how devotion strengthens us for the demands of an engaged life.
Shari Friedrichsen brings these teachings alive not as philosophy to be studied, but as a living path to be walked. This retreat is an invitation to deepen your understanding, renew your practice, and discover in yourself the light, courage, and grace that have always been there.
This two-night retreat is open to yoga students of all levels and backgrounds. Yoga teachers are invited to join a three-night version of this retreat with additional sessions just for teachers.
