Celebrate the Fourth of July with a full day of summertime fun, nature, community, and yoga at the Himalayan Institute. This special Family Day Pass offers a chance to experience the spirit of our Free to Be weekend retreat without staying overnight.

Bring the kids, grandparents, friends, or simply come as you are. The day is designed to be spacious and welcoming, with activities for all ages and plenty of time to relax, explore, and enjoy being together. Spend the afternoon hiking wooded trails, kayaking at Sunset Pond, making new friends, or simply lounging on the lawn beneath the summer sky.

Throughout the day, you’ll also have opportunities to experience the deeper heart of yoga family life through gentle practices, meaningful connection, and joyful celebration. Children are welcome in our special programming, and adults are invited to rediscover the playful inner freedom that summer weekends naturally awaken.

Day Pass Includes

  • Fireworks and bonfire celebration on Sound of Music Hill
  • Kayaking and swimming at Sunset Pond
  • Hiking trails and outdoor recreation
  • Lawn games, scavenger hunts, and family activities
  • Vegetarian lunch and cookout dinner
  • Daily yoga and meditation offerings
  • Children Welcome Hour in the Sri Vidya Shrine
  • MOKA Origins factory tour and chocolate tasting
  • Fellowship, relaxation, and time outdoors

As our nation marks its 250th anniversary, this gathering offers a simple invitation: to celebrate freedom not only as independence, but as the freedom to be fully yourself — playful, peaceful, connected, and alive.

Come spend the Fourth of July with us. Watch fireworks beneath the stars, gather around the bonfire, and enjoy a summer day rooted in joy, community, and belonging. Here, you are Free to Be.
