Brian Fulp

Brian Fulp, director of the Himalayan Institute Retreat Center, has been a member of the Himalayan Institute since the age of 14, and moved to its 400-acre campus in Honesdale in 1997. His early responsibilities included being in charge of the Residential Committee and building the Institute’s Web Department, which he managed for nearly a decade. In 2008, he transferred into a newly created position as director of Local Operations, and in 2014, he started his current position as the director of the Retreat Center.

Passionate about making sure guests to the Retreat Center feel welcomed and nurtured, Brian works hands-on with the Guest Services A-Team, constantly refining a system they created known as EMBRACE. His passion also extends to the surrounding community, where he has served as a past president of Honesdale Rotary and  the chairman of Honesdale Roots & Rhythm Music & Arts Festival. Currently, he serves as a consultant to Honesdale High School’s Interact Club, the junior version of Rotary. Brian lives on the Himalayan Institute campus with his wife, Anita, and their three children.
